Harvest Festival Thanksgiving Service, Auction, and Supper
The church was,as usual, well attended for the Harvest Festival service of thanksgiving on 28th September 2008. Prayers for farmers in this more than usually difficult year were especially heartfelt.
Harvest Festival Auction
The service was followed by an auction of produce conducted with his usual panache by the inexhaustible and mercurial John Coleman. Superb olive oil from France was on sale together with more locally raised produce.
Harvest Supper
After the auction, there was supper at the Village Hall followed by entertainment provided by the Vicar and his 12 string guitar. Despite his best endeavours, he failed to embarrass anyone with his idiosyncratic rendering of 'Old MacDonald' and a song with more actions than words.
