St Leonard's Church Apethorpe aims to make the love of God known to everyone who lives in the village, through lively worship and caring fellowship.

A very successful hog roast and wine-tasting event was held on the 29th August at Apethorpe Hall raising £5,000 for Help the Aged.
The sponsored bike ride in aid of The Northants Historic Churches was held on Saturday 13th September. Many thanks to those who monitored the ride in the Church.
Mr Holmes from Holmes and Swift, organ builders came to see whether the old organ could be repaired as the electronic organ has a limited lifespan. He agreed that it could be repaired and quoted an astronomic figure to do so but told us that it could not be a guaranteed repair because of the nature of the original construction. He has, however, two other organs available, which we will inspect shortly.
We celebrated Canon John Beaumont's 50th anniversary of his ordination on the 28th in conjunction with the back to church service. He was given rousing applause and a small presentation.
The Harvest Festival will be held on Sunday the 12th October conducted by Rev. Michael Whawell. Help with cleaning and garden produce would be appreciated.
A dendrology test was conducted by Robert Howard on behalf of English Heritage to help confirm the date of the construction of the Church. The results will be available in about 6 months.
Sarah Kerruish and Paul are getting married in the church on Saturday 22nd of November.
Looking toward December there is the Confirmation Service on Sunday 7th December conducted by Bishop John followed by wine and refreshments and we will be celebrating a Christening, a Christingle and a Carol service on the 21st, at a time to be decided, conducted by Canon Michael McAdam.
Beryl Williams wishes to express her joy & delight upon receiving your prayers, cards, flowers and wonderful assistance during their recent traumatic time. "To say you have all been wonderful is an understatement", "We are indeed privileged to live in such a caring community"
