Candlemas 

The church gradually filled with Year 4 pupils from all the primary schools in the Deanery, who had come to celebrate Candlemas.  First there was the opportunity to get to know pupils from other schools over a biscuit and a drink as they divided into groups according to which month their birthday fell.  Then the service began as each school contributed with singing, dance, and drama.  Bishop John Flack was present in full regalia and he explained to the children the significance of each item that he wore.  A very enjoyable time was had by all so it is hoped that this celebration will be repeated.
