Mothering Sunday

In preparation for the Mothering Sunday Service, the men of St’ Peter’s, aided by their children, made posies of flowers on Saturday.  These were distributed among the ladies present at the service on Sunday.

Palm Sunday

The Palm Sunday service began with a procession led by Boris the donkey.  The route ran from Cobthorn in West Street to the Market Place, back to New Street, down to the Wash and then to St. Peter’s.  As we processed we sang hymns and stopped for readings and prayers.  Boris enjoyed much attention from the children and, helped by a constant supply of apples and carrots behaved impeccably as he explored Oundle town centre.  Following the procession the 10.30^h Communion Service took place.
