Langley House Trust Prayer Requests - March 2008
Thank you for praying for
us
The Langley House Trust is a Christian organisation working to resettle ex-offenders, those at risk of offending and the marginalised homeless. We help approximately 750 men and women each year. It’s challenging work, so we really appreciate your prayers.
This month’s prayer requests
(extracted from our bi-monthly printed Prayer Diary)
o there is sometimes quite a lengthy gap between individuals applying and arriving at projects – please pray for patience for potential residents like SS as they await a place.
o moving on can be a nerve racking as well as an exciting time for residents – please remember GF, GY, AD and others currently in this situation.
o Park View has a newly formed support and mentoring group for residents tackling alcohol misuse issues – we pray it will be successful and well attended.
o most of the Trust’s projects and many of its offices have volunteers who assist with various aspects of our work – we give thanks for their valued contributions.
o those working in the wider criminal justice system face multiple challenges – please pray that godly values and integrity will be upheld amidst financial and other pressures.
topical prayer points
(urgent or
recent requests)
o we ask for prayer for a female resident at the Torbay Project who is seriously ill and in hospital at present – for God’s protection and healing.
o our national Residents’ Conference will be held next month – please pray for those involved in the planning and preparation for this important event.
o residents EW and SH recently had cataract operations – please pray for quick and full recoveries for them both.
o a number of staff are currently facing illness – we uphold them with love and prayers.
feeding back
o we give thanks, despite the unpredictable weather, for a good harvest of produce from project gardens and horticultural grounds.
